#4 Furch Blue OM-CM

The fourth guitar of the series is a Furch Blue OM-CM. This week’s song is Hit the Road Jack with my arrangement. I really enjoyed recording this one.

The guitar is a Furch Blue OM-CM which was lent by Ádám Aranyosi up and coming fingerstyle guitarist, you can check out his channel here. Here is Ádám playing Amazing Grace on his guitar.

First of all, the guitar has a very thin satin finish on the cedar top. It has a very pure and honest sound. Furch’s characteristics are on the bright side, so even a cedar top instrument from them is not mellow. It has a focused sound with powerful dry mids. The mids reminded me of the sound of a much older instrument. Secondly, the guitar projects very well and has lots of headroom. But still, very soft playing is also rewarded. It was fun to play and hard to put down this guitar; maybe you can tell from the videos. My conclusion is that Furch cheaper series is not wrong in any ways. Actually I like the sound with this finish more than their high-gloss models.
